Ed Martin for Prophecy21.com: Hows the tour been going so far?
Gabe Garcia Guitarist for Hotwire: Very heavy metal but very good.

P21: How have people been reacting to your sets?
Chris Strauser Bassist for Hotwire: Confused, dumbfounded, all of the above.
GG: Going back to the very heavy metal, we're not a heavy metal band sosometimes it just goes over their heads, its real fun though. I likewatching jocks mosh in the pit.

P21: Was the experience of being on a tour like this what you expected it tobe?
GG: Actually yeah we've had friends who have done it so we'd heard all thestories and shit.
CS: Totally man, it's a big rock and roll summer camp.

P21: How would you describe your band to someone who isn't familiar withyour music?
GG: Psychedlic Furs meets Velvet Underground.
CS: Kinda like post punk rock.

P21: What are you guys doing after Ozzfest?
GG: Going home, I'm gonna have so much sex its gonna be ridiculous.
CS: Yeah sex with our girlfriends, we've been having man sex lately thatshits getting old (laughs). Going back out on tour soon enough.
GG: We've been having so much man sex you wouldn't believe it.

P21: How did you guys decide on Not Today as the first song you were goingto do a video for?
CS: We didn't really think about it we we're just like ehh whatever.
GG: Well the record label they always have to throw there two-cents in andwe kinda wanted to come out with like a rock song. So we we're all prettymuch on the same page. It was tough deciding though.

P21: How'd the shoot for it go?
GG: Very manly. No, it was fun dude. We worked with a director named KevinKersly whose like huge. He's worked with Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots.
CS: It was definitely an experience we'd never done a video before so it wasa good time thats for sure.

P21: What's your favorite track on the new album?
GG: I like all of em. You don't like any of em? You only like one? (Laughing)
CS: My favorite one to play is probably How It Goes.
GG: I like Say What You Want, but we don't play it and I wanna play it. Ithink it's a little to soft for this metal crowd though

P21: Who are some of your influences?
CS: Anything from early punk like the Sex Pistols or Dead Kennedys to BadBrains to anything from like what Gabe listens to like Jim Croce the Eaglesor Fleetwood Mac. It ranges a lot of classics a lot of Led Zeppelinobviously. Radiohead.
GG: A lot of like hardcore too. Like early hardcore. Early emo-core ornoise-core that was all part of the scene that we came from.

P21: How long have you guys been together?
CS: This band has been together for three years, but me and Gabe have beendating for seven.
GG: Yeah we've always played in different bands though some together.

P21: Who have been some of your favorite bands to tour with so far?
GG: Poison The Well, Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall.
CS: Hoobastank was fun.
GG: Crazytown was fucking fun dude, seriously, that was a party and a half.

P21: What bands would you like to get to tour with in the future that youhaven't yet?
GG: Foo Fighters, Deftones.
CS: Definitely. There's a lot of bands I'd like to tour with but that itwould never happen. Like I wanna tour with Radiohead.
GG: Yeah Radiohead. Like I wanna tour with like crazy hip-hop groups butthat'd never happen.
CS: We toured with Wu Tang Clan one time. That was cool.

P21: How do you guys tackle writing do you do it individually or do you cometogether as a group?
GG: Its all communitive. We just get in there and jam.
CS: Thats why its called a band.

P21: Where are some of your favorite places to play?
CS: New York obviously. Chicago is usually good. Seattle is good.
GG: Yeah Seattle. Even though I hate Los Angeles it's still fun because allyour friends come out and shit. You can't beat playing a show at the Roxyand then having a huge party afterwards with all your friends there.

P21: Do either of you still work a job outside of the band?
CS: Me and Gabe used to be production assistants on commercials, but thebands been so busy since the albums come out and we've just been out on theroad so no.
GG: We've just been rockin lately.

P21: Thanks, is there anything that you guys wanna add?
Both: Fuck Nu-Metal.
