FULL BLOWN CHAOS INTERVIEW
December 2004

Ed Martin for Prophecy21.com: How'd the heavyweights of hardcore tour go?
Ray Mazzolla Vocals for Full Blown Chaos: Great Tour. Best tour I've everbeen on. Great bands, good camaraderie.

P21: Are you guys excited to be doing the Stilborn Fest?
RM: Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're definitely happy to be doing this and the restof it. Then we're on for like ten straight weeks after it.

P21: What can you tell us about your January 2nd video shoot?
RM: I don't remember the name of the club, but its at one of Scott Lee'sclubs, he does Mass Concerts. Should be fun its going to be all live shotfor Wake The Demons. Were going to get everyone participating and all intoit, its gonna be a good time.

P21: How is this video going to be different from the one you did forApocalypse?
RM: Its not going to be a theme video. Apocalypse has some more backgroundto it. We were around, we did our shit and it had a theme behind it. Itwas a little more staged. This is going to be live action with a crowd andthat's what we want.

P21: Did you guys have a good time shooting that episode of Headbanger'sBall?
RM: Oh yeah that was a great time. It was quick we were in and out we gotto hang out with the Haunted and shit. It was a good time. Coming fromwhere we came from and getting to experience that, it was definitely a goodtime. Its something that not all bands will get a chance to do and itssomething we were glad we got to experience.

21: How did you guys get hooked up with Stillborn?
RM: Actually, our drummer Jeff was filling in for Sworn Enemy drumming whenhe was 15 years old, he dropped out of school and went on tour with them. Sal from Sworn Enemy was like Jamie you should look at Full Blown they'rereally good, this and that. At the time I had just joined the band andJamie was interested and was like let me see you guys and hear some musicand he did and then boom he signed us.

P21: You guys are known best for your live shows, what do you think it isthat makes them so well known?
RM: We try to make it so its not just us playing its everybody. We give itto the crowd and they give it right back to us and that's it. It's a giveand take. It doesn't compare to anything else ever. This is the best jobI've ever had.

P21: What's your favorite song to play live?
RM: Sentenced. The lyrical content is very personal and its just like mypersonal Fuck You.

P21: How did you guys decide on the title for this album?
RM: Well a lot of the lyrical content is just like fuck limitations and fuckstandards. Wake the Demons isn't an evil concept its more like unlockingthe subconscious and your true potential. Like when people tell you thatyou can't do something prove them wrong go the extra fucking mile, push theenvelope and prove everybody wrong. Everybody has a hidden potential andonly like maybe 10% of people actually unlock it and that's what a lot ofthe lyrical content is about. Fuck everybody else do what you got to do andbe yourself.

P21: How do you feel that the murder of Dimebag Darrel will change the hardmusic scene?
RM: It already has. We found out like ten minutes after it happened whilewe were in Fort Lauderdale and I've never seen so many grown dudes cry. Itwas hard it was definitely hard and it makes you worry. Somebody might holda grudge about something and now you have to worry they might come up andkill you now. So it definitely changes things.

P21: Where are some of your favorite places to play?
RM: New York, LA, North Hollywood. Seattle's amazing. North Texas is one ofthe greatest places to play, Houston, Corpus Christie, San Antonio, they'reall great places in Texas.

P21: What band would you like to go on tour with that you haven't yet?
RM: Shit, we've been on the road with a lot of bands. I love to tour withthe American metal bands, we've done God Forbid, we've done Shadows Fall,we've done Killswitch Engage. I'd love to do something with Lamb of God, orUnearth, I'd love to go out with either of them. Pretty much any band thatwants to tour and go out and have a good time.

P21: What do you guys usually do to kill time on the road?
RM: We fight a lot, we keep it friendly though. We have so many friends onthe road now that we just like meet up with people, barbecue, have a goodtime, go out to the movies. You know anything you would do at home. Wehave so many friends across the country now that it feels like we neverleft.

P21: If you guys were going to play a cover live what song would you want itto be?
RM: We'd either do Id have to say either Supernaut from Sabbath or Cold Ginor Black Diamond by Kiss. We've been doing the intro to New Level byPantera so we might do a Pantera cover. Maybe something like Becoming orSlaughtered or something old like Heresy.

P21: Thanks anything that you want to add?
RM: Theres something for everyone on the record pick it up help us out. Come see us on the road and buy some merchandise.
